As we approach the eve of Enactus UK nationals I can’t help but get excited and anxious about what this years’ teams will bring to the table. Who will lead the UK to the World Cup in Cancun? Will it be Southampton or is there another team ready to take the top prize as Enactus UK National Champions! Starting tomorrow teams from all over the UK will make their way to Canary Wharf in London and take part in what is an inspirational two days. Every year I am amazed and inspired by projects, students, and lives that are changed due to the hard work and dedication of Enactus students. For this reason I always look at Enactus students as very employable students.
Enactus is all about giving back to individuals within the community that are less fortunate than ourselves. It is about working together as a team and dedicating endless hours to changing people’s lives. Enactus students are the potential future leaders of the community with a strong work ethic, flexibility and desire to succeed not only in business but in life.
So, what can you expect over the next couple of days and how can you make the best of your Enactus Nationals experience? As most of you are second and final year students it is important to make the best of your Enactus experience and use this time to network. There are a lot of employers involved in Enactus including this year’s Targetjobs Graduate Employer of the year 2013 (that’s us by the way!). Use this time to approach employers that you might be interested in working for when you graduate or over the summer for an internship. Enterprise Rent-A-Car has plenty of summer and year long internships and graduate management jobs available across the U.K. We are looking for future management graduates and interns to fill our roles and just by being apart of Enactus gives you that opportunity for a possible fast track application process.
We will have a big team at the Enactus finals this year, including employees from operations, IT and talent acquisition, as well as many of our directors. So make sure you say hello!
