I’m currently the Branch Manager at the Enterprise Grantham Office. I started in 2011 as a one year Intern in Redhill, Nottingham and it was honestly the best start to my career. I completed my training and was provided with much more responsibility than I expected.
Whilst I was at Redhill, we became one of the best performing branches in the area, winning the sales competitions multiple times with an ever increasing customer service score. It was a great team for me to grow and be apart of, and I learnt so much; from how to market accounts and grow the business, to how to control costs within the business.
When I went back to university for my final year, I moved to the Nottingham City Centre branch and worked there part time. My knowledge grew and grew whilst in this branch, preparing me for my role as an Assistant Manager after graduation. The team were great, and I was supported by all levels of management both in daily rental and in head office.
I also became the Campus Brand Manager for Enterprise at Nottingham Trent University, during my final year. This meant that whilst I was studying at Trent I was involved in the recruitment side for Interns and Graduates. I was involved in every career fair, managing the stand and talking to fellow students about the opportunities we have to offer. In addition to this I played a key part in the presentations and even set up my own event. The event involved students and women leaders from various businesses, who presented their career path to the students. After this we had a networking event where the students spent time asking questions and talking about the careers we could offer. This lead to an amazing partnership with the University and a great connection between Enterprise and the students.
FEATURED JOB: Management Trainee – Dorset
After I graduated I went straight into full-time work, and within three weeks I was promoted to Assistant Manager at Redhill, Nottingham which was unbelievable. Within the next six months I built up my brand reputation and got promoted to another Assistant Position in Traffic Street, Nottingham. Being an Assistant I was involved in the day to day management of the business and I played a crucial part of growing, developing and improving the business of the branch. I managed a full team at both branches and trained and developed each member of my team, which lead to each member passing their training and moving forward in their careers.
And it didn’t stop there. After six months at Traffic Street I was promoted to Branch Manager in Grantham, Lincolnshire, where I have been succeeding in the areas of our business and even became part of a sales panel, as I am one of the leading branches.
The opportunities at Enterprise are endless and constant. I have gained a career from an Internship, and I’m glad I made the decision to join in 2011.
