I chose not to let my dyslexia hold my 19-year career back

In my 19-year career at Enterprise, I chose to look at my dyslexia not as a hidden disability, but as different way of approaching problems. I credit this belief as the reason to my success: I started out washing cars, and I’m now the Head of Risk for my area.

Enterprise never let my invisible illness hold me back

Having diabetes could have meant that my work days would have been a struggle to get through. However thanks to what Enterprise does for me, my illness has never been a problem.

The adjustments I received for my disability helped me succeed

Disclosing my disability when I applied for my placement year with Enterprise meant that I could get the adjustments I needed. Dyslexia can be difficult to deal with but I refuse to let it define me or hold me back. My determination and the support I’ve received so far has enabled me to be successful in my internship.
