Hastings is famous – or infamous, depending on who you wanted to win – for that pivotal battle in 1066. But there’s a lot more to Hastings than half-remembered stories from History class, of course.
Enterprise’s Hastings branch is situated on the south coast, and covers picturesque Sussex countryside. Hastings is a town which is going through a real growth and development stage, with lots of new local businesses being set up. All this accounts for the diverse customers that we have in the Hastings area. I have met some remarkable people from all walks of life. Every day is different, and I have a great opportunity to develop my business skills, focusing on customer service and sales.
As part of my interview process, I had the opportunity to spend a day in the Hastings branch. From the moment I walked in I was greeted warmly by the manager Graeme. He offered me a cup of tea, and introduced me to all the team. Everyone was so polite and friendly, I got a great vibe, and this was a place that I could really see myself working. Although it was a busy morning, the way that all the staff were interacting with customers was great to see. At one point the customers felt so at ease they engaged in conversation with each other, and had a laugh and a joke!
I thoroughly recommend working for Enterprise in Hastings. The facilities are wonderful, and I have ample opportunity to train and develop. One of my responsibilities is to manage our fuel collection process, to which I am already making great strides to improve. Having been here 3 months, I’m really looking forward to the rest of my 12 month internship!
