I joined Enterprise in September 2014 and I have not looked back since. The days, weeks and months have flown past, and every day I learn something new. I am currently a Management Trainee but I have my eyes set on getting promoted as soon as possible.
After graduating from college and entering the ‘real world’, I had no idea what I wanted to do. All I knew was I wanted to learn how to run a successful business and so far that is exactly what Enterprise have shown me.
Every day is different and each morning I do not know what challenges lie ahead – and that is just one of many reasons why I love working here. Sometimes it can be a little overwhelming, but there is always someone there to help and happy to answer questions. Everyone in the business can relate to being a Management Trainee as they have been in your shoes before.
In the short period of time I have worked here, Enterprise has developed my skills and business acumen tenfold. It is more than just renting cars at Enterprise. It’s about leading and mentoring each other, increasing customer retention with excellent customer service and creating new business by marketing Enterprise to both retail and corporate customers. You will learn how to generate more revenue through sales and develop excellent communication skills, so selling becomes second nature. The level of responsibility given to a Management Trainee gives you a sense of being part of something special and drives you to succeed within the business; you are, after all, responsible for tens of thousands worth of company assets. No other business will give you this level of respect and responsibility within your first few months.
I have been chosen to be part of a ‘Best of the Best Programme’ after only 5 months being here, which will help me progress and develop quicker. I’m extremely grateful for this opportunity and every day the opportunities that arise give me motivation to succeed. Who wouldn’t want to work here?
As Jenny Minogue – Talent Acquisition Specialist, says:
“The Best of the Best Programme is a fantastic opportunity for the top performers in our business to move into our Airport operations during our peak periods. These top performers are leaders in the areas of sales and customer service and should be looking forward to developing their skills in this area even further.
This is an exciting move for Andrew as he will gain experience in both sides of our business model. This will make Andrew a well-rounded employee that will see the benefits of this vast experience when he is looking for his first promotion shortly. We are looking forward to seeing Andrew’s contribution to the Dublin Airport team that will no doubt experience a record breaking summer!”
