It is often said that history repeats itself – and we are extremely pleased it does when The Times Top 50 Employers for Women is announced each year.
Why? Because for an outstanding 8th year in a row, Enterprise Rent-A-Car has been recognised amongst the best UK employers for women and awarded this coveted accolade.
For those of you that don’t know, this accolade recognises the top 50 businesses in the UK that can demonstrate a true commitment to recruiting, developing and retaining the best female talent. The Top 50 was published in the Times newspaper, and positions us alongside some well recognised brands such as BT, Barclays, KPMG and PepsiCo.
To be awarded this for an 8th consecutive year we were able to show an ongoing emphasis on developing a culture which promotes the value of our female employees. In addition, with the hard work of all our colleagues, we have been able to demonstrate an environment where the BEST talent is successful, where perceived gender barriers are removed and equal opportunities truly exist.
Announcing the award Mike Nigro, Enterprise UK Managing Director said: “There has never been a better time to be identified as a strong employer with regards to gender equality and development. It seems each week the media publishes a new story about businesses failing in the area of female leadership. Yet at Enterprise, I cannot believe we would have been as successful as we have over the last decade without our commitment to diversity and development of our best employees. This focus and dedication helps ensure our business is a thriving operation, where decisions are made by a diverse set of talented and strong individuals. The outcome is a far greater balance of ideas, initiatives and leadership, all of which have contributed to our growth and success. Thank you all for your contributions that have, once again, helped us to be recognised as a Times Top 50 Employer for Women.”
